Welcome to www.rcspares.com
We`re a small team of enthusiasts who take RC'in very seriously, the goal of this website is to bring reliable and accurate information about everything Remote Control. This is a huge under taking so please bare with use while we write the content, everything on this site will be original and taken form experience rather than other people's opinions, One thing I can say for certain is that there is no right or wrong way to go about RC.
Most of the fun about remote control is that it's a journey of discovery, it's very difficult to get reliable information, most of the time when I speak to the pro's at the national events I don't ever get a straight answer, which is understandable because no one wants to give out their winning secret, but I think the second reason is that they had to wade though all the fiction to get to the facts themselves, so they want you to have to go through the same experiences.
True knowledge about anything is not knowing the facts, it's about knowing the anti-facts, why something won't work rather than just accepting that it won't work. Most of the time I'll get the latter from people, for example someone once told me that a gear ration of less that 3 wouldn't work for my motor I was testing, this was before I knew how gear ratio's worked, I had a hard time believing him even though he obviously knew what he was talking about, so it tried it and burnt out my motor and esc, because the motor didn't have enough torque for that ratio, who while it went like lightning for three of fours laps by the time I realized my mistake it was too late.
But that's just me, I have to learn by trying it myself. Don't be afraid of making mistakes, be afraid of making them twice. Hopefully with this site as your guide you'll be in a position to learn the tips and tricks and save yourself a lot of time and burnt out esc's
