Tips and Tricks

Cut the shell first, this makes it easy to line up and you won't risk scratching your master piece
Get the right tools, a pair of lexan body scissors is a very good investment
Warm the paint can in a bowl of warm water before you start this will thin it slightly and it will spray more evenly
Don't use the very last bit of paint from the spray can, it'll create large spots as it runs out
Let the paint dry before starting the next layer, the first couple of layers are critical, after this you can use thicker coats.
Never spray so much paint that it pools and runs, this will ruin the entire paint job
Use brake fluid to fix minor problems on the car, but be careful as it will almost always be visible afterwards
Give the painted Lexan shell about 24 hours before you use it, any less and the paint might not be 100% set
